SAYYOUNG CHANG

CV

Hello, I'm Sayyoung Chang.

I hold a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) from the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Michigan. Through academic studios, international design competitions, and research projects, I have explored how architecture can create a positive impact on both the environment and society. My work is particularly driven by interests in adaptive reuse, sustainable design, community-centered spaces, and environments that foster culture and the arts.

Beyond architecture, I collect artworks and actively engage with cultural content and the art market, exploring the cultural, social, and economic value of art. These experiences have broadened my perspective, reinforcing my belief that architecture is more than the creation of physical spaces—it is a platform that connects people, culture, and society.

This website showcases a selection of my architectural projects, competition entries, research, and creative work. Each project reflects a unique question, an exploration of ideas, and my continuous growth as a designer.
